Cellulite is when the large subcutaneous fat cells push against the weakened connective tissue beneath the skin. It results in a lumpy, puckery, and dimpled skin surface. It is more common in women than in men. It may affect the upper arms, breasts, thighs, hips, buttocks, and abdomen.
It is caused by multiple factors, such as
- Fluid retention
- Lack of circulation
- High estrogen level
- Overweight
- Lack of physical activity
- Pregnancy
- Poor diet
