Subcision is a minor in-office surgical procedure used to treat depressed scars.

It involves inserting a small needle into your skin to release the tension below the acne scars from the underlying tissue. This allows your skin to rise and diminish in its appearance. There will be an overall cosmetic improvement as the healing process initiates collagen growth.

Subcision can be combined with other treatment modalities to achieve its best significant result.
